Mandy
So here's the deal. This puppy is available for adoption from the rescue organization where we got our two dogs. And I love her. And I want her. But I know we can't have her. We have enough pets right now, and puppies are A TON of work. I'm just saying...look at that face. It makes me happy to know that someone will snatch her up right away and she will have a wonderful family.

She and her siblings were found at the same junkyard where our first dog was found. They had parvo and unfortunately, all her brothers passed away. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same breeder who dumped our heeler and her puppies. He apparently just breeds heelers in his backyard, and dumps the ones he can't sell. I'm glad she was saved because LOOK AT HER.

I'm sorry but I do not agree with breeders of any kind....."responsible" or otherwise. There are already too many dogs in this world without homes. There is no reason to purposely breed more.

She is so cute! Jordi's a rescue dog too, and I agree wholeheartedly. They are the best dogs.

Awwwww...if I had room in my itty bitty apartment and I knew she'd stay itty bitty I'd get her. But I know better. I'll just print her pic off and put it on my fridge. Hope she finds a great home - like yours...hint hint hint.

I agree...it bothers me when friends tell me they are breeding their dog...we just had a friend lose her dog while trying to give birth to them.

Too many doggies need a home as it is.

That puppy is very cute....she will find a home.

Oh gosh...if we only had room!! Four cats and two dogs (and a snake)make it difficult to take any more. But this little puppy is such a cutie that I almost started lactating again out of sheer sympathy.

I could not agree more we need to adopt the puppies and dogs that are already out there!

We have a boxer and I love him lots but we could have rescued a boxer instead of buying one from a breeder but the Ex wanted a puppy from a breeder!

Adorable! Totally agree about breeders. Adoption is definitely the way to go. We have two.

OH those ears. What a cutie. Someone will surely scoop her up and give her a good home. And whoever dumped her should get a good ass kicking.

I thought I was the only person that was so anti-breeders. That is quite the cute puppy face.

Okay. You're freaking me out.

I used to check this site monthly, you know...just for the hell of it.

And I swear, I haven't looked at it in like 6 months for some reason.

But something compelled me to look at it earlier today. And I found Mandy. And I read her story. And I just sat there and stared into those eyes.

Then, several hours later, I read your blog and--BAM--there are those eyes again.

Wow.

I seriously wish I could have a dog. I miss my dog (the Ex took him, damnit) so much it makes me nauseous. But, The Geej and The Old Cat and The Young Cat are all I can handle these days.

I'm sure with a face and a story like that, Mandy's going to find a forever home. I just know it.

She is so very cute.

I hate people.

I agree with the other comments. For those of us who just cannot manage a dog right now, she is so cute it hurts!

Poor baby! She is so adorable though, she will surely be adopted really quick! She reminds me somewhat of Lucky's 'Hendrix'. :)

I am not fond of breeding dogs either. I can kind of see how people want to breed 'pureblood' dogs for certain tasks and such, but at the same time, don't really like that either.

A lot of people at the shelter say they think it's a shame we spay and neuter the animal they are adopting becuase it's so cute they'd like to breed it. I tell them that I'm sure if they can find homes for the 40,000 various animals we get in a year as well as the entire litter, I'm sure the state will lift the law requiring us to spay/neuter them.

That usually shuts them up. :)

Our dog is also a rescue! He had a similar "Oh-So-Adorable" face and we just couldn't say no! All I can say is that one day when I have my dream house (and the acreage to go with it), I'd love to rescue the dogs and cats who are "unadoptable" and next in line for euthanasia.
I love bulldogs & boxers but I don't think I would EVER buy a bred dog.

I would adopt all the homeless bunnies in the world if Sugar Daddy would let me.

So far his answer has been an resounding NO.

A very cute face indeed. I'm shocked that she doesn't have parvo as well and. I wish I was as shocked at how awful people can be but, unfortunately, I've seen too much to be surprised. I have one rescued dog and one from a breeder and though I won't get into the whole responsible breeder vs. adoption topic I do think that everyone should consider adopting a dog who wants one. But those who do adopt should be well informed before they do. Good for you for adopting! Its never easy.

I agree with you completely on that issue!!

What a cutie. Wish I could just take her home, but we also have way too many pets.
