Ice Day
So we're experiencing our annual ice storm, so I'm at home for the next two days. Yippee! Here's the awesomely cheesy graphic from the news website:

And just for TKW, here's our favorite weatherman doing his thang:

Since I'm kinda stuck here, I'm going to be working on my cross stitch. Here's the one I've finished:

I'm pretty happy with it.

We're still trying to get our stupid flooring put it. We had an appointment with a company to come do an estimate, and they never showed. Asshats. They just lost our business. So right now we still have half carpet half cement in the house. We got a new chair, though, and I love it:

World Market has a 40% coupon on any regularly priced item, even furniture, so I'm going to use it a couple of times before February. That's my FAVORITE place to get furniture other than El Paso Imports. We're ALMOST done getting the living room in order, we just need the damn floors put in.

The really exciting thing that has happened is that my college roommate and good friend from high school found me on myspace! I haven't talked to her in 9 years, and I really missed having her in my life. We had dinner on Friday night and finally had to go home at 12:30, but I feel like we could have kept talking for hours. It was like no time had passed, except that we had many, many years to catch up on. She and her husband are building a house about 10 minutes from me, so we'll be able to hang out pretty often. I can't explain how happy I am.

Other than that, not much is happening!

After my fun little spin leaving Blowout last February... I am not getting out in this mess today.

Enjoy your day at home. I need to find myself a hobby like that. I love your crosstitch.

Can you make one that says "I Wanna Stab You In The Neck"?

Hey you can find me on myspace via my email. Let me know if you don't have it.

Um, the stab you in the neck cross-stitch is MINE.

;)

Why have I not seen your MySpace page? As for the chair: loves it. And the cross stitching-- totally bitchin'. Can I borrow a pattern to create something for one of my family members?

We had our "ice storm" over the weekend. Turned out to be the great "rain storm" of 2007.

Congrats on the reconnection! That's so exciting!

I love Jim Spencer.

(sigh)

I can imagine how damn excited he was about the ice ("Ok everyone! Bring in the plants and pets! Wrap the pipes!! Bust out the champagne!")...and thank GOD it was this week and not in three weeks...

We're still waiting to see if all the cheesy graphics they made down here actually turn out to be worth it. :P It's almost sad after seeing how hyped up the news guys get to see them deflated in the morning because nothing happened. :P

so awesome about finding your friend!!!! :)
